Il borgo prende il nome dal Castello di Fiordimonte, documentato dal ‘400, e del quale restano ampi tratti di mura ed una porta ad arco. Nel borgo si trova la Chiesa di S. Antonio, addossata al tratto inferiore delle mura. In passato è stato anche la sede del comune, oggi il municipio è nel capoluogo, denominato ‘Valle’.
Castello
The village takes its name from the Castle of Fiordimonte, documented since 1400; most of the walls and an arched door are still standing. The church of St. Antonio is sited along the lower walls of the village. This was one the seat of the local authority, though the town hall is presently in the main town; it is also known as ‘Valle’.
