S. C. di Monte Cardosa
La chiesa della Madonna di Cardosa prende il nome dai cardi selvatici che riempiono i prati circostanti. Si trova a 1150 m sul livello del mare, costruita sul sito dove preesisteva una antica pieve. Fu completata nel XVII secolo. Sotto la parte seicentesca si trova un rifugio che un tempo accoglieva i pastori. All’interno il fastoso altare maggiore comprende un piccolo passaggio che consente di accedere alla venerata immagine della Madonna.
The church of Madonna di Cardosa takes its name from the wild thistles that grow in the surrounding fields. 1150m asl, it was built on the site of an ancient settlement and was completed in the XVIIth Century. The 17th Century part conceals a refuge that once sheltered shepherds. From the church’s magnificent main altar a small passage that leads to the venerated image of the Madonna.
