Uno dei gioielli del borgo è il Monastero di S. Liberatore che si trova nel punto più alto del paese. La chiesetta, inserita nel monastero che è tra i più antichi di tutto il territorio, sorse nell’anno Mille come oratorio benedettino. Nell’abside troneggia imponente la figura di Cristo Salvatore o Liberatore seduto in trono e affiancato da un S. Benedetto. Una Madonna della Misericordia sotto il suo manto allargato accoglie i fedeli. Questi e altri affreschi sono attribuiti a Paolo da Visso e alla sua bottega. Guardando l’altare sulla parete sinistra si nota un’immagine di S. Lucia mentre un S. Cristoforo e una Crocifissione si trovano negli spazi abitativi del Monastero.

One of the village’s treasures is the monastery, dedicated to S. Liberatore, in the highest part of town. Its church is one of the oldest in the area, having been built as a Benedictine oratory in the year 1,000. The figure of Jesus the Saviour, with S. Benedetto at his side on the throne, towers over the apse. A Madonna della Misericordia welcomes the faithful under her open mantle. These and other paintings have been attributed to Paolo da Visso and his school. Looking on the left side of the altar, one can observe an image of S. Lucia, while S. Cristoforo and a Crucifixion are found in the living quarters of the monastery.
