Piazza dei Martiri Vissani
Costruito nel 1338, il complesso dell’ex convento di S. Agostino ospita il Museo-Pinacoteca civico e diocesano e il Museo dei manoscritti leopardiani. Oltre la facciata, dove spiccano il portale gotico e il rosone, ci troviamo nelle sale ricavate da quelle che erano la navata, l’abside, la sacrestia e una cappella.
Built in 1338, the complex, once the convent of S.Agostino, houses the civic and diocesan museum/art gallery and a museum with a collection of the poet Leopardi’s manuscripts. Beyond the façade, where the gothic portal and rose window stand out, we enter rooms that were once the church’s nave, apse, sacristy and a chapel.
